Blogs are being approved within 24 hours. If a blog post is not approved it's simply because it is not following our guidelines and didn't pass the blogging requirements on this website.
Please make sure you read and understand the blogging guidelines and apply that to your posts. You can find them here: https://www.avatarsocialnetwork.com/faq/view/4/1/4/0/how-should-i-use-the-blogging-feature
To change your email address go to your profile page then click on Settings and then General. You will see your current email address there. You can change it to the new one. Please be sure with the spelling because the system occasionally sends out verification emails to verify that it's still an active email address.
The purpose of import blog feature is to help user migrate their blogs from other platforms to Avatar Social Network.
Currently we are unable to directly stream music. However you can set up your own using a third party feature.
For streaming purpose we recommend you to use the Discussion tab of the group and create topics where members can post their stream information. You can try to use this widget and embed it in the discussion topic you made but it requires some basic coding knowledge: http://radiotuna.com/OnlineRadioPlayer/Create
In order to add code to a discussion topic or post in groups, click on the Discussion tab, then Create Topic or new post, once you have the editor open you will see a little <> icon on the editor field. Clicking that you enter the html source code view where you can copy the embedded code you made at that website linked above.
The same steps are available on ASN Pages and our main Forums as well.
Because it is a third party service we can't provide support nor can fix issues with it but you can try to use that for your streaming purposes.
We also have a music feature where members can directly upload recorded music that others can play, share or add to their own playlists. You can access that by following the Main Menu Media/Music
Groups and Pages are similar in some things, different in others. Both has it's own feed and it's own forums and both has photo albums. However groups do not have their unique name you can choose in the URL, Page does. Groups don't have their own admin settings, Page does. Groups can have officers but they can't have the same power as the group owner. Page can have Admins with the same powers as the owner. Group feed posts don't show up on the Main Feed. Page posts show up on the Main Feed but can be changed in settings. Pages can be upgraded to Sponsored pages with detailed statistic insights and other features, Groups are as is.
Groups are a simple way to build your own community, while ASN Pages are more commercial with more features.
Unfortunately Facebook does not provide an option to transfer photos and Avatar Social Network is not affiliated with Facebook. You can bulk upload photos to ASN by selecting several at once, creating new albums or adding them to existing ones.
There are more than one ways to delete your photo. Please follow one of the steps below:
Method #1: On the Main Menu mouse over Media/Photo Albums and click on My Albums.Select the album your photo uploaded in. Click on Manage Photos. Find the photo you wish to delete and select the Delete Photo underneath it then on the bottom click Save Changes.
Method #2. In your selected Album click on the photo you want to delete. Under that you will see a link set. Click on the Delete link. A small window will open asking you to confirm. After confirming the photo is deleted.
Method #3. Go to your profile.Click on More+ and then Album or Photos and then continue with the same steps as described above.
You will find it in the very top right corner. It's the circle shaped icon with your profile photo on it next to the little globe (updates) and envelope (messages) icons Just click on that and it will take you right to your profile.
When posting a Shared Link, Avatar Social Network will automatically detect an image from the page you are sharing and include the thumbnail in your post. ASN retrieves the webpage that the posted URL links to and performs its own internal selection of which thumbnail to display and they may come from any portion of the linked page. If you want a specific image to show and making your post even more attractive, just upload the chosen photo on your wall separately and then add the link of your blog to either the photo caption or your post.
If you can't see someone's profile it could be because the member has set it up that way in privacy settings, the member has blocked you or the account has been canceled.
When you open your album you see all the photos next to each other. You can grab and drag them around by holding down the left mouse button while moving the picture from one spot to another, that way you can reorganize them in any order you like.
Avatar Social Network's background is white and members are not able to change the colors.
That "pop" up window type we call it smooth box. Smooth box does not need cancel or X and you don't have to hit Back to close it either. Smooth box is created the way that if you click outside of the box anywhere it goes away. Smooth box is the newest generation ready for the larger Tablet user community. We are little by little making this website Table compatible and smooth boxes are part of that process. So, just click/tab next to the box somewhere and it's gone.
Wall Photo album is created by the system. Every photo uploaded directly on the Main Feed posts or those that not being added to any of the created albums are automatically sorted in the Wall Photo album.
